郑智化25日在微博发文痛批深圳机场对身障者没有人性，让他连滚带爬的登机，引发网友热议，之后深圳机场留言道歉，不过有网友则公开一段当时郑智化登机的监视器画面，证明有３、4位工作人员协助搀扶他登机，因此舆论风向变了，网友纷纷指责郑智化「夸大其词」要求道歉。
不过郑智化未道歉，只再发文提到往返大陆多次，在机场安检时遇过各种刁难他的情况，而有网友就解释原因，是因为在2012年6月29日，天津航空曾发生劫机事件，劫机者伪装成身障人士，将武器组合成金属拐杖，等到上了飞机，起飞10分钟后，就把拐杖拆卸成多把武器，交给其他同伙。

当时有6名劫机者，期间他们还用武器打伤乘客，甚至还企图破坏机舱门，最后是空中安全员、空服人员及几名乘客合力制伏他们，这事件除了造成两名劫机者死亡，还有多人受伤。自此大陆对于机场安检更加严格，对于身障者金属拐杖会严加检查。
